Investigations, discoveries, emotion, faith: your comments, each linked to the original.

My name is Benoît.
I started the IGNIS YouTube channel: today, 150,000 subscribers follow it. With my wife and our children, we devote ourselves full time to the mission. The mission keeps going thanks to those who support it.
We are a family first. The team was small; we have just had to reduce it for lack of funds, hence a slowdown on YouTube. But I truly want to set the world on fire.

Frequently asked questions
Your questions about IGNIS
What is IGNIS Mission?
IGNIS brings together a formation in the spiritual life, sayings of saints, a Catholic encyclopedia and a community for moving forward in faith. Here you can learn to pray, shed light on a question or find something to nourish your relationship with God.
Who is behind IGNIS?
Benoît Plaut is the founder of IGNIS, along with his family and the team supporting him in the mission. He is also the creator of the IGNIS YouTube channel, followed by 150,000 subscribers, and of the Via Divina course. The 'Who are we?' page tells this story.
Are IGNIS and the Via Divina formation free?
Yes, the IGNIS account, the Via Divina formation and the site’s tools are free. Donors make this mission possible, and each person is free to choose whether to support it. No gift is needed to learn, read or take part.
Do I have to be Catholic to join IGNIS?
IGNIS is a Catholic work, and it is also open to those who are discovering the faith or have questions. You can start where you are, without having understood or read everything. The saints teach us to move forward in trust.
Where should I start if I’m new to the faith?
The Via Divina formation guides you step by step, starting with the purpose of life. If you have a specific question, look it up in Ignispedia; if you would like a short text to meditate on, open Words of eternal life. You choose whatever helps you today.
Does my Via Divina account work on IGNIS?
Yes, you can sign in with your existing account. The same account lets you get back to the formation and use the other IGNIS spaces. You don’t need to sign up again for each tool.
Is there an Ignis mobile app?
The app is called Ignis and is available on iPhone and Android. In particular, you can follow the course there with your usual account. The IGNIS website also opens in the browser on your phone or computer.
Is my personal data protected?
Your data is used to run your account and is not sold. The privacy policy explains how it is used and what your rights are. The messages you post on the forum can be read by other people: share only what you are happy to make visible.
How do I create my IGNIS account?
Click “Create my account,” then enter your first name and email address. Open the link you receive to enter your space; check your spam folder if you don’t see it. The account is free and no bank card is needed.
